CELL PHONE REMINDER
A quick reminder about our cell phone policy, which follows district guidance. If you bring a cell phone to school, it must be turned off and put away the moment you enter the building. This includes the period between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m. When you walk in the door, phones (and smartwatches) should be off and away.

EMS THEORETICAL PHYSICS CLUB:
Want to learn more about how the universe works on every single level? Then join the Theoretical Physics Club to understand and decode the laws of reality!” The club meets from 3:00 to 3:45 on Fridays in Room 121. The first session will be on October 3rd. We will participate in activities on the topic of theoretical physics. You don’t need to be in advanced math or have any knowledge on the subject before coming to the club. It is purely for anyone who is interested in theoretical physics.

6TH GRADE GIRLS CIRCLE
The YWCA Greenwich is so excited to bring back Girls Circle to Eastern where we will hang out and get real about “girl code.” Join us on Wednesday's during Advisor Base for crafts, games and other activities where we will develop leadership skills, learn to navigate relationships with peers and become empowered all while having fun!

THE GSA RETURNS TO EMS - The GSA is a club which was created to spread awareness, become an ally and advocate for the LGTBQIA+ community. FRIDAY MORNING COLORING CLUB
Unwind, and start your weekend right with the Friday Morning Coloring Club! Join us Friday mornings at 7:45 in Room 214 with Mrs. Harriman to relax, listen to some chill music, and get creative before classes begin. Whether you prefer intricate mandalas, city scapes, your favorite animals, or characters, or just a blank sheet of paper, this club is the perfect space to hang out with friends and express yourself.

The Multicultural Club is Back!

EMS DEBATE CLUB - Meets Every Monday
Ready to build confidence, sharpen your critical thinking, and master the art of persuasion? EMS Debate Club is looking for students of all experience levels to join our team! Whether you love sharing your perspective, tackling real-world issues, or simply want to become a clearer, more persuasive speaker, Debate Club provides a fun and supportive space to grow. Members will learn how to build strong arguments, analyze different viewpoints, practice public speaking, and collaborate with peers through engaging mock debates.
Meetings will be every Monday after school from 3:00-4:00 in Room 5 with Mr. Tracey and our wonderful GHS Debate Leads!

YOUNG HISTORIANS CLUB
Have you ever thought of doing something with history in the future? Maybe you want to be a historian, an archivist or even an archeologist. All of those have one thing in common: History. So, why don't you come visit us for the first Young Historians Organization meeting of the year. We will be meeting the first and third Thursdays of each month in Room 214.

Intramurals: One of the main objectives of intramurals is to provide every student with the opportunity to play and enjoy various sports and leisure activities, under the supervision of a certified staff member. Students can come when they choose. There are no sign-ups or try-outs. Basic instruction is given. The primary focus is student centered and it is purely recreational. All activities are free!

- No tryouts/sign up/forms/equipment are needed!!
- Session 1 activities, other than the Fitness Center, are weather dependent.
- Time: 3:05-4:05pm (Bus riders are able to ride the 4:15pm late bus).
- Students need a pass from a teacher to enter intramurals from 3:10 - 3:15 pm.
- No students will be accepted after 3:15 pm.
- Students should plan to stay for the entire duration.
- All intramurals initially meet on the boys locker room side of the gym.
- Session 2: March 1st – June 11th 2027

The 2026/2027 Yearbook is on sale for $35 through October 31st at yearbookforever.com. The price will increase to $40 on OCTOBER 15th. Deluxe packages and name stamping are available at an extra cost and will only be available through January 15. Buy one today!
