Drama Club is open to all students who are interested in being on stage or are interested in backstage

The EMS Debate Club is an after school activity for students who want to become competitive debaters. We will
research a question, debate both sides of it, learn the forms of argument, and compete in tournaments. All students are welcome. No experience necessary! Date and time to be announced.
Everyone has heard how important it is to reduce our environmental footprint and to go “GREEN”. The
Environmental Action Club (EAC) is a service club designed to improve our environmental impact here at EMS.
We meet to participate in fun “GREEN” activities and to provide a service to our EMS community! Sponsored by

Jazz Band is an auditioned is an auditioned ensemble open to anyone who can play an instrument, read music, and who is interested in challenging themselves musically. Typical instrumentation includes: Saxophones (alto, tenor, bari), Trombones, Trumpets, and Rhythm Section (guitar, bass, drums, piano), but additional instruments are encouraged to sign up as well. Are you creative? Do you like building? Do you love Legos? If so, then the Lego Robotics Club is the perfect after-

This club is designed to welcome new students to the EMS community. Its focus is on meeting new friends and
adjusting to life at Eastern. Club includes students new to Eastern Middle School as well as current students who want to help new students. Sponsored by Mrs. Moore, EMS school counselor. (Meets as needed listen to the announcements) – Location: TBD.
The Student Council Association (SCA) chooses students from 7th and 8th grade level who want to be leaders in their school and their community. The SCA is in charge of fundraising for donations to local groups on behalf of the school as well as organizing activities and volunteer opportunities. Sponsored by Ms. Cole and Ms. Wax. The Spain trip club will meet in late February and March to review key conversational expressions and to learn
about the geography and culture of Spain. Sponsored by Senora Calderon. (Specific dates TBA in February, after

String Ensemble is an auditioned ensemble for high achieving orchestra students in grades 6, 7, and 8 who
demonstrate good playing position, left and right-hand technique, and facility on their instrument. This is an
exciting opportunity for students to collaborate with other highly motivated string students in the orchestra program at Eastern Middle School. Sponsored by Ms. Jeraci. (Mondays after school 2:50-3:45PM) - Room 1
Yearbook is open to any student who is interested in contributing to the Eastern Middle School yearbook. Any

How can I make a difference in my school? How can I make a difference in someone else's life? Consider joining Kindness Counts! The club will promote kindness and caring in our school environment. Our meetings will be based on the Greenwich Public School District Norms Be Here, Be Safe, Be Honest, Care for Self and Others, and Let Go and Move On. Further, we will use materials for our club from the National Random Acts of Kindness Organization, which is founded upon the powerful belief in kindness and dedicated to providing resources and tools that encourage acts of kindness.
